Comments

Many thanks to those who have emailed me regarding my comments, they are disabled.  I've had some nasty experiences on youtube with my demonstration videos (bottom of blog)

But I do wish to progress with the challenges so I'm going to enable them

Deep intake of breath

Kindest regards

Challenge Two - today

Magnolia Tilda - With lantern & Winter night Background
Spellbinders - Oval deckled edge
Promarkers with Memento ink
Stash: Bling, peeloffs & ribbon
Anything goes!  then that must  mean Winter and Christmas.   I suppose like all crafters I have an ongoing box particularly for Christmas,  somewhat depleted from last year.  I had a quick rammage through my bits box and had some badly stamped backgrounds ... ya I know .. throw them away, but you can't - hence the reason the background has been 'die cut' and I think it actually makes for a nice embellishment, by accident

..........................

I just been looking at this one again,  how sad that my photos are so dreadful, since this is a rather pretty little card.  So, I couldn't resist a play in Paint Shop Pro  So eyes down for a bit of magic

Monday

Pity about the cold spell but it might mean a bit more crafting.

Can I just say to anyone visiting this blog, although not entirely my first, but due to previous experience particularly on Youtube, I do not have a comments.

I'm quite happy if you email me with any requests for information etc.

I have entered several Challenges which I really enjoy,  however I seem to have done something wrong last week and was withdrawn, perhaps if I had, had a comments section I might know where I went wrong. So to any sites where I submit Challenges I try hard to understand the rules and trust I never offended anyone.

Sugar Nellie Stamps : Charity - It's a girl thing
Memento & Promarkers
Spellbinders : Standard circles & lace
Large Butterfly punch : EK success
Stash: handmade papers, beads, bling, rafia & peel offs
A fantastic challenge to have participated in,  strangely enough I don't use a lot of bling normally but I notice the last card I made I did the four-corner-bling.  Do you hate using the ''last'' when you haven't got the suppliers details any longer? I do :(  Just noticed on the 'enlarged' version you can just make out the sparkle effect of the Cryogen cardstock used for stamping.

Sugar Nellie 2011 Stamps : Molly
Memento & Promarkers
Stamped on Cryogen card stock*
Rafia bow sprayed with Cosmic mist
Papers : Papermania Blueberry
Stash bling
This truly is one of the most wonderful stamps to work with, probably because it reminds me of my grand-daughter, as she is now.   A must have!  Sugar Nellie    Just a comment on *Cryogen cardstock, not particularly highlighted with this example, but it's a doubled sided sparkle card, gives a fantastic finish with the colour as it were under the sparkle so the appearance is uniform, but doesn't allow you really to work the Promarkers with layers, else it mottles & blotches.

From the card box

Mary Baker Flower Fairies :  Iris
Memento & Promarkers
Bow rafia & sprayed with cosmic shimmer Mist
Yep we all have them, lots go to charity, many are personalised on the inside, addressed on leftside of insert & generalised greeting, boxed and given as presents, would say well received.  But thought as I've just started this blog I would look back at past achievements.....emmm efforts and occasionally dip into the box.  Oldies to share.

Flower Fairies IMHO are not the easiest of stamps to work with,  shimmer type paints work well (might look for one) but this was the first I did using Promarkers and must say, opened a new door of opportunity.

Butterfly Dreams :  Tilda with Flower
Tilda Stamp\Memento
General stash stuff
Promarkers
Background paper : Crafts-Too
I made this one  for a challenge and to use some deeper shades & specifically the background paper, picking up the colours.  Which brings to comment on the purchase of backing papers on-line,  ever noticed how they all show the patterns as being very small and turn out massive,  actually this happens when you buy sealed packets to find the paper is nothing like the wrapper.

NEXT

Butterfly Dreams :  Tilda with Flower
Tilda Stamp\Memento
General stash stuff, Glossy accents
Promarkers
Background paper : Created using Paint Shop Pro \Printer
I would would like to thank Natalie who inspired me to try finally to make a card using Glossy accents.

More Butterflies

Butterfly Punch :  EK Success
Plain and simple with stiching a joy to make.  Bottom butterfly has a top layer of Pergomano parchment   Flower wire & seed beads worked as an embellishment.

Butterflies

Magnolia Tilda :  Sweet
Tilda Stamp\Memento
Promarkers
EK Success Large Butterfly : wired & beaded
Stash box

Hawthorn Fairy

Mary Baker Flower Fairies :  Hawthorn
Memento & Promarkers
Butterfly punch large : EK Success
Spellbinders : lacy circles
Stash stuff
The buttferfly is layered, meri-type card with printed flower paper on top,  the flower wire is fed with seed beads the tail finally made by winding the wire around a needle, actually it's a picking tool for from my Knitting Machine days and as you can see is tapered can't think of many substitutes , perhaps a Crochet hook.  Fiddly but fun!
