Mostly these days, I work with Ryman's 200 gsm card stock, this works for me, I understand it, it goes through the printer and works well with Promarkers.  But on this image I have a slight 'splitting\curdling' of the colour on the face,  this can happen if you over work the colours - but that is what we do, so I have a feeling on this occasion is something in the pigments of the colour combination.
